Your Donations Help Youth like Anna

Anna was born in Steer Town, Jamaica, and was exposed to criminal activities and unsafe environments as a child. Growing up poorer than those around her, Anna was unable to pay for her school’s tuition, textbooks, internet, or transportation. Traveling 30 miles to get to and from school every day showed her true ambition and dedication to be more than another statistic. Anna would write long essays using her phone making it harder for her to complete assignments effectively but she never let that stop her

When Treasure Our Youth met this amazing young lady, she described her first impression as “being blessed to have the assistance and support from TOY”. Members and donors provided Anna with the necessary tools she needed to get through her final year of high school. She was given internet for a year, a laptop, tuition for school, a bus pass, and textbooks that were all sponsored by our amazing partners!

Since then, Anna has kept up a 3.9 GPA and plans to be the first-generation college student in her family. Help from people like you is what makes youths’ futures possible. Nothing you do or give will fall between the cracks. Every penny and effort made is put towards sponsorships and programs for disadvantaged youth in impoverished neighborhoods across the Caribbean.
